Leave it to the folks at the Oxford English Dictionary to campaign on behalf of words that have fallen into disuse. According to OED, 90% of everything we write is communicated by only 7,000 words. While the words up for adoption on the Save the Words website might not slide easily into your everyday talk, it's still a fun and interesting site for students to check out.
